Hi I’m Victoria and I have been involved with Monarch since I was 6 years old! Ever since I started attending camp, I have loved every part! Growing up, I remember playing pretend camp at home with my siblings and cousins often thinking how cool it would be to run camp. Fast forward almost 20 years and here I am running camp and sharing the Gospel with so many kids and watching campers and staff grow in their faith and understanding of Jesus. I worked for Monarch as a summer staff for about 5 summers as a kitchen staff, drama director and waterfront director. My three favourite parts of camp are seeing kids get excited when they receive their first Bible, working with a new staff team each summer and watching them grow in their faith, and all things waterfront (boating, free swim, SUPs). As I continue to grow in my relationship with Jesus, He teaches that every moment is an opportunity to point kids to Him.

Hi I’m Melody and Monarch has always been a part of my life ever since I can remember. I grew up going to Monarch as a camper, moved into summer staff roles for about 10 years, worked as the Director of Discipleship alongside Teresa Ward for 3 summers, and then became involved as a board member. I am ecstatic that the Lord, in his perfect timing, has brought me back to Monarch as one of the camp directors because if you ask anyone who knows me, camp has a very special place in my heart. I love how camp creates an environment for campers and staff to come face to face with Jesus. As I walk with Jesus, he continues to develop in me his heart for all people to come into a loving relationship with him. I just want to tell and show kids how much Jesus values them and created them for His good purposes.
